We gave him a big chance and he delivered! It’s also fair to say he exceeded lofty expectations – not just for us, but also for those who bought bred females a year ago or purchased semen when we made him available. The backdrop wins are certainly important and noteworthy, but his influence on our program will extend far beyond the show ring. His sons are poised to make an immediate impact and we’ve never, ever been more excited about a sire-group of keeper gilts. It’s also worth noting in this space that we were proud to see Absolute land in the top-ten Sire list posted by Kennedy Ventures. The ranking accounted for pigs sold through KV sale events and considering he was used almost exclusively at HH, it was particularly fun to see him on the list.
