Unforgettable was our $140,000 purchase at Perfect Timing from C&C. It’s no secret that the boys at C&C are great friends of ours and our boar buys from them have been well received from the public and have done an incredible job. I first laid eyes on Unforgettable at 2 weeks old nursing his mother. That day I made an insane offer for him on the sow and Austin said “no”. Defeated, I continued in search of the best Unrivaled son I could find and just couldn’t find one like that little pig I saw that day. He was truly “Unforgettable.” A few weeks later I returned to see him in the nursery and upped my offer, the answer was still no and they had decided to offer him at Perfect Timing. So, I waited until that day and just hoped for the best. He was the most different animal in the barn and honestly the most different one I had seen all year. $140,000 later he was coming home, and I was thrilled to own him. His mother is an expensive first litter gilt from Justin Day who hails from the infamous Daylight x End Game x Kingpin lineage that has been so good to them and many others in our industry. Watching him grow up has been a true pleasure. He looks the same today as the day he sold, just bigger. A generational boar, that we couldn’t be more excited the put our names next to and embrace the future of what one like this can do. I’m sure semen will be hard to get but he’s worth planning early to get your favorite sow lined up for him. I have never had more people ask questions and follow a boar from sale day to now like they have with Unforgettable. BREEDING TIP: Yes, Unforgettable had all the extras one could ever ask for and still does, but what made him so popular was his looseness of skeleton and length of stride. He still does that so well today, it’s amazing to watch when he gets out on the grass. Breed him to your favorite sow and lets make pigs better!
