This was Brockmans most anticipated litter of our 2025 summer crop!!! I love the boar and sow, their uncles and aunts, grandparents and so on, and collectively we’ve had a ton of success out of both sides of this pedigree in the show ring, in boars retained, and females in production! The 100-4 sow here is the only sister to the RESERVE GRAND BARROW SAN ANTONIO 2024 of the Rohan Family, along with Kaden’s Reserve Hamp at Houston, and Brookshire’s Class Winner at San Antonio! If you’ve come to see the boars, you’ve heard me say that Stand Firm is the most like his sire Stud Monkey in build and kind, he has the same kind of build from the side, and use and looseness of rear leg that has made Stud Monkey such as asset for us and many others already! Stand Firm also mimics his dad in the fact that his maturity pattern reads to be at his best when it counts the most as a big one! Stand Firm stands on the principles we’ve always believed in, he has a big square loose high functioning running gear, and we think he could be a very fun attribute to use on those sows that need that! Breeding Tip: We plan to use Stand Firm a lot like his dad. Take SF to those sows who need a better build from the side, added flexibility and use of their rear leg and hock, a longer, leveler hip, while still adding feature and hair! After the first litters have hit the ground Stand Firm looks to be gilt friendly.
