Secret Stash 29-2 was our personal favorite Berk gilt at the 2023 Exposition and we knew we needed to add this one to our program. Special thanks to Brandon Gruber for raising such a unique breeding piece! The Post Pound ‘N sow is a litter mate to Poundtown. The famous Ms. Penny Sow is Bandon’s foundation sow that he’s built his program around. Ms. Penny is the dam of Poundtown, Dig Deep, Saying Prayers, the 11,000 top selling Berk gilt at the 2022 Summer Type Conference and I’m sure she’s accomplished plenty more than this, but it’s all I could find from creeping on Brandon’s Facebook page. Now here’s one that’s just flat out built different. When this thing was fresh off the tit, he was very elite but something happened when he hit fighting weight and Main Event turned out to be an absolute freak of nature. Monstrous rear leg bone that maintains impeccable hock angulation, clean jointed with added flexibility and coordination. Is somehow capable of merging freaky stoutness with a youthful attractive look. Main Event is relaxed in his shoulder placement with a tight throat latch and comes at you with a wide, square chest floor. Expansive ribcage with a wide explosive top that spans from blades to pins which blends exceptionally well at the crest of his neck and through his ham-loin junction. Has a big square hip that spans down through his stifle and level hipped with his stout tail head cranked up on the top side of his skeleton. I hate counting cards before the hand is delt, but Main Event is so different for the Berkshire ring that I truly believe he will have tremendous impact and leave a lasting impression within the breed.
