For 17 years, I've raised Chesters. My passion for them has always been strong but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't challenging. I've been waiting for a pair like these to come along. When we were rolling down south in the white OPB's 4-5 years ago, we had them stout. So when recent trends put more emphasis on profile and the amount of crest, we had to adapt. For years I struggled to find the balance between getting stout enough and keeping them good enough looking. Finally, we feel like we got the mix right. The only littermate sister that showed went 5th Overall at Expo for Brayden Bowers. Owned by Team Sloan. These were the only two males and taking the knife to them was never a thought. Extended pedigree reads Double Dippin x Change of Plan x Gig Em x Custom Made x the Sloan Jack in the Box Sow. Little different bottom side which I believe is why the double bred WD40 son worked so well here. BE HAPPY - Moderate in his build. As good of a chester in terms of front shoulder slope, chest and knee as I have made. Fleshy, round ribbed and good headed. He has the added hair that is needed in 2027. Breed him to bigger outlined sows that need to be better coming at you. He will add the extra width, bone and hair. Side note: No water bellies have been thrown in this sow line.
